Archaeological Investigation

Milner Gardens and Woodland

Client: Vancouver Island University

In early 2016, marine bivalve shell fragments were identified by VIU students during the construction of a new boardwalk at Milner Gardens. The discovery was reported to the BC Archaeology Branch, which led to an archaeological investigation by Aquilla Archaeology Ltd.

In collaboration with Marina La Salle and the VIU Anthropology Department, Colleen led a small field school for fourth year students.
