We're Hiring! Junior Archaeologist – Nanaimo, BC

Are you passionate about archaeology and ready to lead exciting fieldwork across Coastal British Columbia? Aquilla Archaeology Ltd. is looking for a Junior Archaeologist to start immediately! Successful candidate will receive a SIGNING BONUS and have opportunities for year-round field and office work.

What You’ll Do

Assist with archaeological surveys, impact assessments, and excavations in exciting locations
Record archaeological sites and traditional use areas
Work with Indigenous communities and regulatory colleagues
Support research, data analysis, and reporting
Catalogue and process cultural materials in lab settings
Work safely in varying terrain and weather conditions

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology (or near completion), or Anthropology with an archaeology focus
Completion of an accredited field school
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations
Strong physical fitness for fieldwork
